cancellation policy 

Cancellation Policy: 24 hours. Please cancel as soon as possible if a foreseeable event is likely to prevent you from attending, for example, illness or adverse weather conditions.

I require a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel an appointment. Failure to attend an appointment with less than 24 hours notice of cancellation will incur the charge of half the appointment cost. 

However, if you need to cancel your appointment at short notice because of Covid-19 related symptoms, a long-term medical condition which varies from day to day, or because you are more than 37 weeks pregnant, then the cost implications will be discussed on a case by case basis.

An invoice for any cancellation / ‘no show’ charges will be sent to you by email for payment by bank transfer within 7 days. Following a cancellation, payment must be received before any further massage bookings can be taken.

In the event that I need to cancel an appointment due to emergencies, illness or bad weather I will inform you at the earliest opportunity and contact you to make suitable alternative arrangements.

late arrival policy

Please arrive promptly for each scheduled appointment. Your late arrival will still require that I end the session at the scheduled time meaning your session will unfortunately be shorter than was originally planned. I will have reserved that time for you and therefore will still require full payment. 

covid-19

Before all appointments I will contact you with regards to Covid-19 contact and symptoms.  

On arrival to appointments I will ask you to confirm that there have not been any changes to the information you have given. 

Should you contract the virus, or be contacted by the Track & Trace service and advised to self-isolate, you must inform me as soon as possible.

Government guidelines will always be followed and as a member of the MTI and a therapist providing a close contact service, extra precautions will always be taken to ensure the safety of myself and my clients. 
 

inappropriate behaviour

I hold the right to refuse any treatment if a client is physically or verbally abusive towards me or demonstrates inappropriate, aggressive or sexual behaviour. Such behaviours will not be tolerated and will result in a total ban from my practice, and may also result in criminal proceedings. 

confidentiality & data protection

All client information and clinical records will be safeguarded by myself and will remain confidential. Unless required to do so by law, I will not otherwise share, sell or distribute any of the information you provide to me without your consent.

Consultations and client treatment details will not be discussed with anyone other than the client, unless the client is under the age of 18 or has a care worker or guardian.

health & safety policy

I am fully qualified with a level 4 Diploma in Holistic Massage Therapy, hold a current First Aid certificate, and hold professional and public insurance for the services that I provide.

Due to the nature of massage and the need for close contact, I will maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and clients are asked to ensure that they also maintain a high standard of personal hygiene.

Clients are asked not to attend for a massage if they are unwell, suffering from a cold or virus, vomiting or diarrhea, infection or general ill health. Please contact me at the earliest opportunity to rearrange your appointment. If you are unwell and contact me to inform me of your illness, please note that my cancellation policy may still apply.

If I am unwell suffering from a cold or virus, infection or general ill health, I will not work due to the risks of cross contamination. If this is the case I will contact you to inform you of the issue at the earliest opportunity to make suitable alternative arrangements.

liability 

I will not be held responsible for the loss or damage of personal items during your time at my practice.

Clients under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This parent or guardian must give permission for the agreed massage plan to be performed, and will be requested to co-sign the New Client Consultation Form. They will be invited to stay in the room for the duration of the appointment, and will be expected to remain present throughout the treatment.
